Bridging experiment and theory in spectroscopy (BETS)

The scientific session "Bridging experiment and theory in spectroscopy (BETS)" will take place at the faculty of physics, astronomy and informatics (Wydział Fizyki, Astronomii i Informatyki Stosowanej, Grudziądzka 5/7, 87-100 Toruń), in the COK auditorium. To get to the faculty of physics, follow the map:

The COK auditorium is located on the first floor at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics. Just follow the arrows and you should be able to easily find it.

eChem workshop

The lectures and tutorials will take place in the conference hall of the University Hotel (83a Szosa Chełmińska street, 87-100 Toruń).

The hotel is located ~15 minutes walk from the beautiful Toruń old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Toruń is one of the oldest cities of Poland and the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus. It is located on the Vistula river in the North-West part of the country. The Gothic style buildings are iconic and some of the most well-preserved in Poland!

Getting to Toruń

By Plane

The biggest international airport in Poland is the Warsaw Chopin airport, located about 200 km away from Toruń. Apart Warsaw Chopin Airport, there are many other airports in cities around Toruń. A very convenient one is the Gdansk Lech Walesa airport, while the closest one is Bydgoszcz airport.

By Train

It is very easy to reach Toruń by train from anywhere in Poland, or even neighbouring countries. You can book train tickets on, e.g. koleo.pl or intercity.pl (intercity trains). There are several train stations in Toruń, but we recommend getting down either at Toruń Glowny (Toruń Main station), or Toruń Miasto (a smaller train station, close to Toruń old town). From Toruń Glowny, you can take a taxi to the University Hotel (10 min, approx. 30 PLN), or catch Bus 27 and go down at stop Wybickiego 02 (15 min). From Toruń Miasto, the hotel is a 30 min walk away.

By Bus

Toruń has an intercity bus station, so you can reach Toruń also by bus, for example using Flixbus or Arriva. The bus station is very close to Toruń Old Town and only 20 min walk from the hotel.
